Justin was not whom he said he was. This realization comes as a shock to those around him after his death. He lied and manipulated everyone around him. His wife, Annie, and his best friend, Will are the most upset as all his secrets begin to come out. Justin was so charming and so perfect, there is no way he could have been so manipulative and full of lies. He was found dead with Valium in his system, even though he didn’t take drugs, so did his lies catch up with him, or did he want to escape the prison he’d made for himself? Justin was not whom he said he was. You want me to believe differently? Convince Me.

This book was a great look into the damage a sociopath can cause. It’s amazing how some people can’t see how their choices destroy people’s lives. The twists in the story made this a page-turner as you aren’t entirely sure who actually is telling the truth and who is telling the lies. It all wraps up nicely with a satisfactory ending. It was easy to tell that the author writes screenplays, as this story would definitely make a good movie. I thought Annie and Will were great characters who did an admirable job picking up the pieces of their life after Justin. If you enjoy psychological suspense, then you will definitely enjoy this book.
