Scott Palmer is a Ghoster. He asked his girlfriend to move in with him, but on the day of her arrival, the flat is completely empty with no sign of Scott. Well, except for his phone he left behind. Kate can’t go back to her old flat and job, so she has no choice but to stay and figure what happened. She manages to get into his phone and begins to check his call history, his social media profile, anything to find out why she was ghosted. But strange things start happening and she receives weird calls and feels like she’s being watched. What really happened to Scott? And will it happen to Kate, too?

Hmmm…I’m not really sure what to say about this book. It was very sexually graphic which didn’t seem necessary in a horror story. The language was also terrible, do British people actually swear that much? Having read Jason Arnopp’s previous book, I was prepared for the ending, but the whole book felt very obvious about what was happening. It lacked the shock factor the previous book had. For me, there was only one moment I genuinely got creeped out. I had hoped for a little more. Maybe if I had more of a social media presence, this book would be terrifying, but as it was it wasn’t really worth the time and damage it’s done to my brain. I can’t unread that stuff, unfortunately.
