Ros has returned to London after a three-year stint as a literary podcast producer in the United States. She’s happy to get back to her family and friends and to pick up right where they left off. The only problem is that everyone has grown and things have changed over the three years she has been away. However, when a mistaken group text prompts a reply from the one who got away, Ros decides that she’ll get things back to the way they were, but better.

This book is a pleasant romantic comedy. The characters are likable enough. Ros’s new job was a little less than exciting to read about. (She gets a new job as a podcast producer for a fourteen-year-old gamer who only goes by the name ‘Snazzlechuff.’) The real treat in this story is the rekindled romance between Ros’s parents now that both their children are grown and gone. Overall, this is a light, enjoyable read.
