Benjamin and Helen have a strained relationship. When Helen was eleven, she disappeared for a week while camping with her father. She can’t remember anything that happened during her absence. Things have never been quite the same between them. Now, twenty years later, they are attempting to reconnect, but it’s hard to get over the past. In the end, it might take revisiting where Helen disappeared in order to forgive and move on. They will go back to the campsite they left behind for other Passersthrough, those who are on their way to somewhere else, just like they were.

You ever read a book that completely baffles you? This is one of those books. It was incredibly hard to even really describe the plot and then the book just ended, without any kind of resolution. It was very unclear what was happening throughout the story. There were some paragraphs in there that made absolutely no sense. It’s possible that this book was too existential for me to even understand. I happen to like books that have a climax and a resolution as well as clear characters. I think only current fans of Peter Rock would like this story.
