Seeking a bigger audience, Samson the Mighty Flea leaves the circus for a whole new series of adventures. Illustrations done from a flea’s perspective make this book great for teaching perspective to kids.

Written in rhyme, the book shows Samson the flea deciding he needs a bigger audience and leaving the Fleabag’s Circus, heading out into the world. He sets up a stage and performs his tricks, including lifting a baseball bat, “But nobody noticed his thick stick trick.” But Samson didn’t give up, and he invented and practiced more difficult and daring tricks. But the beetle poked fun at him. Then he joined the Circus of Dreams. He performed his tricks in front of a huge audience and heard the applause, but something was wrong. He left that circus, too. When he accidentally rests on a dog, he goes for the ride of his life! Eventually, he finds his friend Amelie, who missed Samson terribly. They return to the circus and Samson decides, “Fleabag’s Circus is the world for me.”

Done in big, bold colors, the illustrations show how Samson’s tiny world fits inside our human’s big world. It’s a great book to teach perspective to kids.
