The Memory Thief
Etta Lark has secrets and a past she wishes she could forget but with her mother’s life on the line, she has to face her past and rejoin the shadows. A rebel group that has their eyes set on destroying the evil ruler Madame. Madame has organized the city of Craewick to where memories are currency and only the gifted could take the memories of others. Can Etta save her mother and the city? This book is about facing your demons and learning to forgive. For Etta, it is having to bring up the past and forgiving herself for what she has done.
This story had adventure, romance, and family. The book was fast-paced and never boring. There was always something new and interesting on the next page. The characters in the book were really easy to relate to and had distinctive personalities. The author did a good job of description and details. I also loved how she explained everything at the end in the glossary. The book being three hundred and two words meant it took some time to read. All in all, I do recommend reading this book.
