The T Rex Handbook
From the time children are old enough to look at books, one of the topics that fascinates them is dinosaurs. And which of those dinosaurs gives kids the biggest chills and thrills? None other than the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the king of the dinos. This small book (7.5 X 6 inches) has a wonderful cover that will attract the kids. It feels like it is made from dinosaur skin and has a big, impressive close-up of a T. Rex and his razor-sharp teeth. But the interior of the book is not nearly as impressive. First of all, the book does not focus totally on the T. Rex, but talks about a lot of its relatives. Secondly, the book contains a lot of little facts about the different dinosaurs, but there isn’t much meat on the bone. Everything is pretty focused through the first half of the book, but then it seems as if the author were faced with having to fill more pages than he had bargained for. If you are looking for a book that will require readers to do their own research to obtain much meaningful information, then this is the book for you.
